Appeal to trace families of Norfolk soldiers killed in wartime massacre

The men served as part of the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Norfolk Regiment, but were killed at Le Paradis on May 27, 1940.

They were forced to surrender to the German SS, before being marched down a road, into a field, lined-up against a barn wall and machine gunned.

Those who survived the initial shooting were bayoneted and shot, although two soldiers escaped alive, including William O'Callaghan from Dereham.
