The city airport will be closed on Friday due to a 24-hour strike by air traffic control staff.

But Ryanair has said it plans to carry on as normal and "does not expect any disruption to our operation".

Norwich Airport has confirmed all flights will be cancelled.

Holidaymakers who have booked to fly to and from Norwich tomorrow say they have been left in the dark by the budget airline.

Some have had to pay for backup flights from other airports.

Emma Brinn, 48, was supposed to fly from Norwich to Alicante. Ryanair told her this morning to check in tomorrow, despite there being no flights scheduled.
