And now 124 years after Bennett's execution at Norwich Gaol his great-grandson is trying to prove his ancestor's innocence.

Paul Fitchett, 72, is convinced that Mary was not murdered by her husband.

Mr Fitchett is trying to build a new argument to take to the courts as he believes vital pieces of evidence were missed in the original, six-week-long trial.

He believes someone else was responsible for the death of Mary, who was found dead........
