Here are five facts you may not know about the Grade II listed building.
A lot of buildings constructed for circus performances have now closed or transitioned into something else.
The Hippodrome is the only building in the country used solely for circus performances.
It was built in 1903 by circus showman George Gilbert and designed by architect Ralph Scott Cockril.
The building’s façade features Art Nouveau details, including the terracotta and brickwork.
