Gareth Butcher, who runs Herbs and Spices with his wife, Jane Wirgman, also offer beans, seeds and nuts at their stall on Norwich Market.

He said: "There was the crash of 2008, Covid, changes to the city. We've survived the worst series of governments this country has ever had."

Mr Butcher's father served in the British Army in India and used to bring home curries to his family.
