Anger deepens over 'outrageous' bid for massive housing development
Work to build a 1,500-home estate next to Thorpe Marriott - a village on the northern edge of the city - has not yet started but already people in the area are worried about the congestion its development will cause.
They say the roads in the area, between Fir Covert Road and Reepham Road where the homes are earmarked, are "not fit for purpose".
Some have called for the Western Link, which would connect the NDR to the A47, to be reinstated to help ease the traffic jams they fear will worsen when construction gets under way.

They fear local services, like the Taverham surgery and nearby schools, will not cope with the additional homes.
Frustration has recently ramped up with more than 20 neighbours writing to Broadland District Council objecting to the plans.
