Encore venues has applied for a premises license, along with a planning application to change the use of a former shop in the centre of King's Lynn.

It hopes to be open from noon to 2am every day, with live music on Friday and Saturday evenings.

A planning statement says the shop stands on Norfolk Street, where there is already "a prevalence" of bars, nightclubs and takeaways.

It says a noise management plan has been drawn up, which will ensure there will be "minimal impact" on neighbours.
