New homes plan revealed for riverside village
West Norfolk council has received proposals for two four-bedroom detached properties on land at Nordelph, near Downham Market.
They would be sited close to the main Downham Road, which runs past the site near to Nordelph Bridge and the Well Creek.
A risk assessment said that the area is at "medium risk" of flooding from either rivers or the sea.
A council emergency planner said future occupiers should sign up for the Environment Agency's flood warning system and prepare an evacuation plan.
Ecology surveys have not found any evidence of protected species such as newts living in ditches on the land.
Similar plans have previously been agreed for the site but the planning permission lapsed in 2023.
A decision from the council is expected later this year.
