Bid to allow former store to continue to be used as 'modest' home
Now a lettings company has applied for the retrospective go-ahead to keep it.
Hall Property Rentals hopes to continue using the building on Kitchener Street, off the Saddlebow Road in King's Lynn.
A planning statement says it would allow a previously-disused building to provide single person's accommodation, which is in demand in the area.
It adds the building was formerly used as a store by the neighbouring property until 2023.
Since then it has been used as "overflow accommodation".
Plans show a sitting room, kitchen, toilet and shower on the ground floor, with a single bedroom in the roof space, described as "modest".
A decision from West Norfolk Council is expected later this year.
