I’m a woman in my 20s and I’ve been with my boyfriend for two years, and it’s going well. We’re moving in together in a couple of months and making plans for our future.

The only thing that’s nagging at me and spoiling how I feel about us is his group of friends from uni. I have nothing in common with them at all and, in fact, I really don’t like any of them.

They’re all quite privileged, which I guess is fine – live and let live and all that – but they come across as being arrogant.

They go away a lot together at weekends and I’m expected to join in the “fun”, but I hate these trips and find myself counting down the minutes until we can leave.

I have zero to talk about with the other women, who all know each other well, and I end up shrinking into myself and being quiet, so who knows what they think of me.
