Sherazi: Many students see Remembrance Day through their own experience of war

In the last two decades, some students now in Ottawa schools have experienced war directly. They will view Remembrance Day through that lens.

Ottawa police depend on each other for back-up in risky situations. To feel others are suspicious of you must impact your well-being significantly.

There's more pressure on our police, and on our emergency services, when those with mental health challenges aren't properly helped.

Let us hope prayers for peace will be heard, says Aisha Sherazi.

We must find a way out of this bloodshed. Let us turn to the solutions reached to start the peace process in other longstanding conflicts.
