A chance to contribute to book about your favorite trails
New trails have been added to Vischer Ferry Nature and Historic Preserve, meaning an update to the guidebook for Saratoga County is needed.

We own dozens of hiking guidebooks. Among the most well-thumbed are the “Natural Areas” guides published by ECOS: The Environmental Clearinghouse, a local nonprofit.
ECOS has been publishing the fuss-free local guides for several decades. In 8.5x11-inch format, they cover outdoor spaces in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady and Schoharie counties and are a great resource both for newcomers to the area and for longtime residents looking for new places to explore.
In addition to trail descriptions and maps, the guides provide details on the flora, fauna and geology to be found at local preserves and parks, and can offer some interesting history as well.
