Watch: JSO protestors attack more Van Gogh paintings
Good heavens. Just as the news comes that 22-year-olds Phoebe Plummer and Anna Holland have been jailed for throwing Heinz tomato soup over Van Gogh’s Sunflowers – before, um, gluing themselves to the wall – in a 2022 protest, now more eco-zealots have taken to the National Gallery to attack the artist’s work in a bid to shift the dial on UK climate policy. How very tiresome…
After it emerged today that the National Gallery stunt had resulted in the jailing of the two women – with Plummer now behind bars for two years, while Holland has received a 20-month sentence – the climate group took to social media with a video of their latest attack. Shouting at a livid room of art enthusiasts, the protestors raged at gallery visitors:
