What really happens when you “defy the gods”? Or put another way: Do you believe moral laws exist?

By that I don’t simply mean that some things are right or wrong. Instead, do you believe that the transgression of a moral law carries a consequence? We’re familiar with the consequences of physical laws. If you step off the roof of a building, the law of gravity takes over.
