(NewsNation) — Vice President Harris’ Thursday comment that she would shoot a home intruder may have shocked some, but not former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.

“I think a lot of people out there listening are saying, ‘Well, that’s just common sense if someone is a danger to you and your family in your house,” de Blasio told “The Hill” on Friday. “That’s something people are going to do to defend themselves,” he added.
