Washington Nationals ban person who unfurled white nationalist banner at game

The Washington Nationals say the team has identified and banned at least one person who unveiled a sign espousing white nationalist ideology during a Sunday home game.

Video taken from the team’s stadium on Sunday showed at least two people in an Upper Deck section of the ballpark unfurling a banner calling for the deportation of “100 million” and promoting a white nationalist website.

An usher at the game attempted to confront and confiscate the banner before the three individuals who unfurled it fled, The Athletic reported.
