First lady Jill Biden will travel to Paris on Saturday for the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral, her office announced on Tuesday.

She will already be abroad and travel from Doha, Qatar, to Paris that day before returning home to Washington on Sunday.

President-elect Trump is also planning to attend the reopening on Saturday in Paris, and in announcing his trip, he praised French President Emmanuel Macron for his work restoring the cathedral.
