Swindon Town confirm their defensive credentials v Crawley
Swindon Town’s 1-0 victory over Crawley Town showed there are gaps in the team, but they finally have a defence that can be relied upon.
The set of opinions about Crawley probably ranges from ‘Champions know how to grind out results’ to ‘That was a concerning display.’ For fans who only go to home matches (who were unfortunate enough to miss the Bolton Wanderers game), I can see why there might be a growing unease about the level of performances. However, with the luxury of watching all of these games, I would be more towards the other end of the spectrum, having watched plenty of good displays of late, even if not all of them have come in League Two.
Whilst Crawley are at the wrong end of the division, and it would be nice to have seen a repeat of the Bristol Rovers match in which Town rolled them over, there was still a comfort in having just 41 per cent possession at home.
