A popular EastEnders star could return to the BBC soap after leaving in late 2023.

Max Bowden, who played long-time favourite Ben Mitchell, looks set to reprise his role under new EastEnders boss Ben Wadey.

The Sun reports that Wadey “had a list of characters he wanted to bring back”.

“It’s taken a little while to sort out but Max will be back filming on Albert Square later this year,” a source told The Sun.

It is reported that Bowden’s stint would be a short one with the possibility of him staying longer........
