Three occupants of a Tesla Cybertruck were pronounced dead early Wednesday morning after the vehicle crashed and burned in Piedmont, officials said.

Another occupant of the car was taken to the hospital with severe injuries, Piedmont Police Chief Jeremy Bowers said during a morning press conference. His department received an iPhone alert from within the vehicle at 3:08 a.m., he said, and officers got to the scene two minutes later and found the Cybertruck covered in flames.
