One S.F. supervisor wants voters to decide again on Great Highway. Should there be a ballot measure?

San Francisco Supervisor Alan Wong’s listening tour is over for the Great Highway.
On Friday, Wong said he would support legislation to put a measure on the ballot asking city voters to reopen the portion of the road to cars that is now Sunset Dunes park.
“At the end of the day, I believe my values align with the majority of the district,” Wong told the Chronicle. “I’m prepared to sign onto a measure that would need four supervisors to be placed onto the ballot to restore the compromise.”

Wong avoided taking a stand on the issue with me after he was sworn in by Mayor Daniel Lurie on Dec. 1 to fill former Supervisor Joel Engardio’s seat representing the Sunset neighborhood in District 4.
