AIFF back in Supreme Court again after failed ISL tender
New Delhi: The All India Football Federation will return to the corridors of the Supreme Court once again to seek directives for a way forward after receiving no bids for the Indian Super League tender that it floated last month.
It was hoped that after months of uncertainty over contractual logjam that lead to multiple clubs suspending operations, the tender process could bring a stalled season back on track.
But no bids on the deadline day of Friday has not only poured cold water over hopes of a December kick-off but raised fresh doubts over organisation of the top-most league as clubs once again halted their day-to-day functioning for lack of clarity over the future.
