VinFast VF5 facelift design patented, could launch in India

VinFast has filed a design patent for the facelift of VF5 electric SUV in India, which hints at a possible launch in the country, coming with a revised interior and exterior design.

New Delhi: Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast could be quite close to introducing the VF5 in India. The brand has registered a design patent for the facelifted version of its compact electric SUV. It reveals several exterior changes. The VF5 has previously been spotted testing on Indian roads. In fact, an undisguised facelifted model was also seen in Vietnam in September 2026. 

The newest patent images closely resemble the vehicle seen overseas. This suggests that VinFast could be considering the updated model for the Indian market.
