Vivo X Fold 3 Pro arrived in China in March and now it is set to launch in India soon. The microsite of the foldable smartphone is live in the country with footnotes hinting at a June 6 launch. Notably, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will be the first foldable device from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer to launch in India. Let’s take a look at everything we know about it.

The microsite for Vivo X Fold 3 Pro claims the device to be “India’s slimmest fold” with 11.2 mm folded thickness as well as “India’s lightest fold” with a weight of 236 grams. Both these claims come with a disclaimer or terms and conditions, which dictate it to be applicable “as of its launch date until June 6, 2024” in the Fold Smartphone category, based on Vivo’s internal research.

The same language is evident in other claims it makes on the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro microsite, which makes it highly likely that the foldable will be launched in India in the first week of June.

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, just like in China, will come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It will feature a 2,850 mAh dual battery, which is equivalent to a 5,700 mAh battery. It supports 100 W dual-cell flash charging as well as 50 W wireless flash charging. Vivo says that the Carbon Fibre hinge of the foldable phone has been tested to last over 12 years with 100 folds a day usage.

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will also come with three AI features powered by Gemini, which include AI Note Assist, AI Transcript Assist, and AI Screen Translation. Vivo has yet to reveal more details about the smartphone, but we already know the rest of the specifications since it is already live in China.

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro was launched for a price of CNY 9,999 in China for the 16 GB RAM 512 GB storage version. This translates to around Rs 1,17,000.

It features an 8.03-inch primary AMOLED screen with 2K (2480 x 2200 pixels) resolution and a 6.53-inch AMOLED cover display with 2748 x 1172 pixels resolution. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset powering the smartphone is paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The phone also features a Vivo V3 imaging chip. The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro in China features a triple rear camera setup, led by a 50 MP primary sensor. It comes with a 32 MP selfie camera.
