Hemant Pandey, a software engineer fired from Tesla and currently working at Meta, has shared his story and the resume format that landed him a Rs 4 crore annual package as well as offers from Linked and TikTok. Talking to the Business Insider, Pandey said that he keeps job descriptions short and includes points that invite further questions regarding the experience and past roles. Let’s get into the details, starting with Pandey’s story.

Hemant Pandey began his software engineering career positively with an internship at Amazon during his graduate studies, followed by a full-time role at Tesla in 2018, which he described as a dream job with excellent pay. However, just two weeks after his family visited him in California, he was unexpectedly laid off.

Despite feeling the pressure to rebuild his reputation, Pandey remained proactive and secured a new position at SAP within a month. After a year, he transitioned to Salesforce, where he remained for two years. In 2021, intrigued by the “crazy” pay packages he learned about on tech forums, Pandey applied to Meta.

Business Insider claims to have confirmed Pandey’s employment history and $500,000 compensation (over Rs 4 crore), which reportedly includes cash and stock. As per the report, Pandey has been updating this resume since graduating from university in 2017. You can see the resume embedded below:
