Decorated Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar to retire post 2024-25 domestic season

New Delhi: Cricket umpire Aleem Dar will bid farewell to all kinds of umpiring at the end of Pakistan’s ongoing domestic season, drawing curtains on a decorated career that lasted nearly 25 years in this century. He had stepped down from the ICC’s Elite Panel of umpires in March 2023 but was still able to officiate the ODIs and T20Is as part of the International Panel.

This year in April, he stood in a T20I played between Pakistan and New Zealand. Dar’s last chance to stand in an international match will be the upcoming ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa which Pakistan host in February 2025. Dar is a regular in Pakistan Super League (PSL) and in the 2025 edition that will likely take........
