New Delhi: US President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced that White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt will leave her position at the end of August, bringing an end to her nearly 20-month extremely contentious but prominent tenure.

Trump announced the decision on his Truth Social platform, describing Leavitt as one of my most trusted aides and praising her performance as press secretary.
