B.C. United Leader Kevin Falcon should take the off-ramp. There is no hope for him anymore.
Recent polls have his B.C. United (BCU) party — formerly known as the B.C. Liberals — in fourth place, behind even the sorry B.C. Greens. Modelled out from those numbers, BCU will lose all the seats it currently holds in the legislature.
Star candidate Michael Lee, who nearly won the leadership in 2018, announced last Thursday he would not be running in the 2024 election, in what was merely the latest challenge to Falcon’s BCU reign. It is a catastrophic fall for the party that successfully ran British Columbia from 2001 to 2017.
