How To Get 63 Days Of Holiday Out Of 28 Days Of Annual Leave In 2026
We all want more annual leave than we get, and so making the most of what’s available is essential to feeling rested and ready(ish) to return to work.
But how exactly can you do that?
The good news is there’s a trick as to which days you can book off to max out on leave.
Most UK employees working full-time are entitled to 28 days of annual leave each year. On top of that, there are public holidays which you might be able to stack onto your 28 days to make the time off go further.
For example, Good Friday falls on 3 April with Easter Monday on 6 April. By booking Monday 30 March to Thursday 2 April and Tuesday 7 to Friday 10 April, you use eight leave days but get 16 days off in a row.
