A plant shop and a music studio in Third Ward? Absolutely.
I’ve written before about the many nightclubs and bars in Third Ward and how a handful of bad actors have made life difficult for nearby residents. What Third Ward truly needs, and deserves, are more creative, community-centered businesses — ventures that reflect Third Ward’s entrepreneurial legacy and celebrate its culture. That’s why Project Row Houses’ newest cohort in its Business Residency Program deserves a spotlight.
Through the program, entrepreneurs receive up to three years of coveted commercial space at a discounted rate, along with mentorship, marketing and promotional support. They also receive a stipend to host community-focused events, ensuring their work directly uplifts the neighborhood.
