Well, here we are at the end of yet another year. Considering what we all go through over the course of 365 days, I figured I’d let my last column of 2023 be a bit of nonsensical reading, chewing gum for the eyes so to speak.

So, if you’re looking for the answers to world peace and domestic bliss, this ain’t it. But, if you just want to say, ‘Hey, that was a non-offensive, politically neutral oatmeal of an article to read,” then I’ve got you covered.

And here goes nothing.

How many of you out there play cards? I don’t mean every day, but once in a while? Probably quite a few of you, I would imagine.

And how often have you shuffled a deck of playing cards? I mean in your entire life, how many times? A few hundred? A few thousand? More?
