POSITIVE VIBES: The power of admitting mistakes
First off, I want to say happy actual birthday to all those people out there who were born on Feb. 29. With that out of the way, I want to get to the core of today’s column: How actually admitting to your silly mistakes can be a positive thing.
To start this story off right before Christmas, Olga and I went to a store in Canandaigua because they were giving us a gift while we were in the city. I said, “Hey, since we’re up here why not going to Toyota (West Herr) and look at the 2024 Rav4 Plugin Hybrid?” She agreed.
We walked into the dealership and, lo and behold, there was a beautiful, red-and-black Rav4 Hybrid Premium right there with a big bow on it. I said (and I quote), “OMG, I love it.” Olga said (and I quote), “You love everything.”
Our salesperson, Matt, came to us, and I said, “You have to convince her, not me.” Long story short. They made Olga happy. We leased the car.
