We all look at the world with our own perspective. When we look at an object or a person or a concept, how we perceive it has a lot to do with our education, values, current life circumstances, our DNA, the environment we were raised in.

In other words, it’s complicated.

For instance, here’s a person:

• White male, 75 years old.

• Stumble when they walk.

• Stumble when they speak.

• Can be too touchy.

• Never excelled academically.

• Has certainly seen better days.

Gives Israel carte blanche when dealing with Gaza. (Note: What Hamas did was evil and wrong, but in the long run Israel’s response is just creating more Hamas and hurting tens of thousands of innocent people.)

But back to my point. I just described two people who happen to be the last two presidents of the United States. They’re also, by some quirk of time and space, the two leading candidates to be the next president of the United States.
