BEYOND THE FENCE: Behind the spring scene
Nature exudes a harmonious melody, don’t you agree?
Perhaps this is most notable in springtime, as the songbirds escort in each dawn and chirp their way right through to dusk. Newly unfurled leaves buoy on warming breezes and bespeak a graceful peace by way of their hypnotic rustling. Flowers bloom as the bees busily hum while the butterflies effortlessly float and the dragonflies dart curiously hither and yon. A well-choreographed production of existence in the awakening and colorful beauty which is spring.
It seems every entity has its own agenda, whether earth, plant, or living creature, and Deer Haven Park is no exception. The park is open to visitors from the end of May through the end of October, but behind the scenes projects are ongoing all year long.
Annually, a coming together of the minds occurs each spring at DHP’s preseason meeting. A newly remodeled Visitor Center and museum greeted all this year as staff........
