Caring for nearly 300,000 children annually, the Stollery is a medical hub for children and families in northern Alberta and Western Canada. In fact, as was noted in the provincial government’s announcement, the Stollery is the second-largest children’s hospital in Canada, second only to the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
While I do not need to convince folks of the importance of the Stollery, these planning-stage announcements deserve as much attention as when shovels are in the ground.
