Legal challenge launched against service station expansion

Plans to double the size of the Gillingham Services on the A143/A146 roundabout were approved earlier this year by South Norfolk Council despite strong opposition by locals.

The expansion would see the site double in size, with plans for a Marks & Spencer shop, Greggs drive-through, farm shop, electric vehicle charging hub and six new trade units.

The Friends of Gillingham campaign group has now applied to the Administrative Court seeking permission to apply for a Judicial Review.
