The proposed site of Halesworth is south of the town, with access provided by the B1117 Walpole Road

According to the Office for National Statistics, as of 2024 Halesworth had a population of 5,104.

If each of the proposed new homes housed three people, the population of Halesworth would increase by more than a third, if approved by planners.

Gladman Developments Ltd plans for 640 new homes also include "new access arrangements, internal roads, green infrastructure and drainage infrastructure".
