Stephan Mann, 41, had been verbally abusive towards the victim throughout the day last year, accusing her of being unfaithful to him.

Mann, who had been drinking heavily, told a friend he wished the victim was dead and threatened to hurt her on several occasions.

Then at about 4pm, he tackled her to the floor and stamped on........
