When the Wild West hit the East coast
More than 120 years ago a cowboy famed for showing off his shooting skills around the world arrived in a seaside town.
Complete with a cast of 800, American showman William Cody—better known as Buffalo Bill—rolled into Lowestoft.

In September 1903, the legend of the American Old West arrived in the Suffolk seaside town with his world-famous Wild West show, which included 800 performers, 500 horses and a crew of 40 different nationalities.
