Cherished panto sidekick is given freedom of town
For the past 10 years, "Lowestoft’s favourite" sidekick Terry Gleed has starred in consecutive pantomimes with The Marina Theatre and Paul Holman Associates.
And having captivated east coast audiences with his comic charm, wit and unforgettable one-liners, Mr Gleed has now been awarded the Freedom of the Town.
Returning to Lowestoft for his 10th pantomime at the Marina Theatre as he takes on the role of Chester the Jester in Sleeping Beauty, Mr Gleed was surprised with the special honour by Lowestoft Town Council for his contribution towards entertainment and charitable work in the town.
After the opening night's curtain call on Friday, December 12, Mr Gleed was presented with the Freedom of the Town award by the Mayor of Lowestoft, Cllr Nasima Begum.
