Norfolk County Council is gearing up to lodge a planning application for the new roundabout at the junction where the A148 Holt Road turns off to Holway Road in Sheringham.

There have long been calls for a roundabout at that spot to replace the current T-junction, with critics saying the current road set-up is dangerous.

There have been four recorded crashes at that location in the five years between 2020 and 2024.

A casualty suffered serious injuries in one of those crashes, while slight injuries were recorded in the other three.........
