County councillor Simon Ring criticised Norfolk County Council's decision to remove plans for the A47/A11 Pullover roundabout, near King's Lynn, from the Department for Transport's Major Road Network programme.

Independent Mr Ring, who represents Freebridge Lynn on the county council and is deputy leader of West Norfolk Borough Council, said it was another example of how County Hall "sidelines" the west and coastal areas of Norfolk.

The county council had said the decision to take the scheme out of the programme was because it would need to find £5.9m........
