Budget giant Lidl has applied to develop land off the A149 Queen Elizabeth Way in King's Lynn after Aldi's planning permission for the same plot lapsed.

It had earlier abandoned plans to set up shop on the Greenyard Way site, known as Morston Point, allowing its rival to make a successful bid which it too now seems to have shelved.........
