West Norfolk Council has refused planning permission for the expansion from 40 to 67 lodges at Pisces Country Park at Welney, near Downham Market.

It said the site off Bedford Bank was close to the Ouse Washes SSSI and the park had failed to show the development would not impact on the protected wetland, while the extra properties would lead to "over-intensive development" of the land.
