Donald Trump has taken a big interest in the Kennedy Center this year, and he’s made no secret of his desire to rename it after himself. For example, when discussing the Washington, D.C., arts institution back in August, the president claimed, “Some people refer to it as the ‘Trump-Kennedy Center,’ but we’re not prepared to do that quite yet. Maybe in a week or so.”

Outside of Team Trump, no one was actually referring to the Kennedy Center by a new name. But in a Thursday-afternoon X
