The majority of Britons are in favour of introducing a tax on second homes, with the revenue generated being used to fund more social housing. A YouGov poll, conducted on behalf of the think tank Common Wealth, surveyed 2,157 individuals and found that over two-thirds of respondents supported the idea of taxing second homes, while 62% believed that taxes on buy-to-let properties should also be increased.
