Republicans are finally admitting that visiting the U.S-Mexico border is just for optics and doesn’t fix anything.

They’ve pulled that ploy for years. Go to the U.S.-Mexico border, snap a few pictures with tough-looking agents or sheriffs, shoot a video gaslighting voters.

And then do NOTHING to deal with the massive migration triggered by wars and calamities around the world. When Republicans do act, it’s usually to block federal legislation because fixing the border would leave them with nothing to fuel voters’ anger.

But now they’re calling Kamala Harris’ border visit in Arizona on Friday a “political stunt?” Talk about making a mockery out of a serious problem and insulting voters’ intelligence.

“She’s going down there so she can get some pictures taken over at the border looking like she knows what’s going on,” Republican Arizona U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs told Fox News.

Another border critic, RJ Hauman of the National Immigration Center for Enforcement, cynically questioned Harris’ visit.

“What is Kamala Harris planning to do, oversee the installation of ballot drop boxes? Shake hands with illegal aliens as they cross?” Hauman asked in the same Fox News article.
