The unthinkable happened. Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer, the man who stood up to election deniers, fought to protect ballots and opened the process to the public, is out.

His ouster in Tuesday’s Republican primary is pure revenge by Donald Trump loyalists who claimed the 2020 election was rigged and tried to win at any cost.
