Finally, many immigrants can work here without fear
President Biden finally had the guts to let law-abiding migrants out of the shadows to work legally and keep fueling the U.S. economy like they’ve always done.
An estimated 500,000 spouses of U.S. citizens and 50,000 children under 21 would no longer have to leave the country while applying for permanent residency.
Tuesday’s executive order also allows DACA recipients with higher education degrees to get work-related visas.
The move is truly a game-changer for so many who’ve been living and working in this country for at least a decade. On average, those eligible have lived on American soil for 23 years, White House officials said.
