It’s possible Fulton County voters will have already made up their minds pretty early on about who they’ll support for some of the races on the November ballot.

But also on the ballot will be a question requiring voters to put some deeper research and thought into it - a proposal to eliminate the elected county treasurer and replace the position with an appointed finance director.

While it might seem counterproductive for voters to give up control over the elected treasurer, the appointed treasurer is ultimately the better option for supervisors and taxpayers.
